The Psychonaut Certification program is closing that gap. It is built for the people who will produce the data that makes consciousness science possible: people trained to report what they experienced with the precision the field has been missing.

General Public
No prior experience required. Free mini-assessment to find your type.
Basic Experience
Some intentional experience and a working safety vocabulary. This is where the Certified Psychonaut credential begins.
Developed Practice
Documented competency in structured settings. Unlocks peer-support roles and advanced research participation.
Expert
Proven competency navigating and supporting others. Unlocks facilitation, chapter leadership, and research collaboration.
State/Trait Engineering
Underneath the curriculum is a methodology that frames everything we teach. State/trait engineering is the discipline of designing conscious experiences with the transition from state to trait in mind, rather than treating the experience and its lasting effects as separate problems.
Trainees learn to think about state, trait, and context together: the lightest sufficient intervention to reach the target state, and the conditions that allow what surfaces there to take hold afterward. This is what separates a structured research practice from a one-off altered experience.
Your data stays yours.
Your assessment results and documented experiences live in your sovereign vault. You decide what to share, with the network, with researchers, with anyone, and you can revoke consent anytime.
We use compute-to-vault architecture: the analysis comes to your data, not the other way around. Sovereignty isn't a buzzword here. It's the architecture.
