he bridges rigorous science with creative innovation to study conscious states both naturally occurring and

psychedelic‑mediated within safe, empirical frameworks.

Cody guides Sensoria’s research infrastructure and  academic partnerships across the Neurophenomenological Consortium.

Leo Christov-Moore, Ph.D.

Head of Research & Scientific Director

Dr. Leo Christov‑Moore is a neuroscientist and interdisciplinary researcher specializing in  empathy, transformation,

and the neural basis of consciousness. Having contributed

to global studies on the therapeutic and cognitive

effects of psychedelic compounds, Leo brings

methodological rigor and ethical leadership to Sensoria’s

scientific portfolio.  He coordinates cross‑institutional

research design and ensures alignment with ethical review and data integrity standards.

Nick "Knux" Synodis

Co‑Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Nick Synodis is a systems architect and strategic innovator who unites technology, education, and human performance

science. At Sensoria, Nick oversees organizational architecture and technological integration, developing

platforms that translate research insights into applicable

tools for education, mental health, and well‑being.

His leadership ensures that Sensoria’s vision bridges

scientific exploration and real‑world impact.

Patrick Deegan, PhD

Senior Scientist, Head of Development.

Patrick Deegan, PhD, is a systems architect and founder of Teddybot, Inc., specializing in robotics, applied AI, and privacy-preserving data infrastructure. Over more than two decades, he has helped build frontier systems ranging from Rethink Robotics’ Baxter, named one of Time Magazine’s “Best Inventions of the Year,” to large-scale distributed ledgers and teleoperated avatar platforms for care and remote presence.

His current work centers on the Sovereign Data Research Fabric (SDRF), an open, compute-to-vault architecture that enables multimodal longitudinal studies on sensitive human data while keeping participants in cryptographic control. He is applying SDRF to domains such as health, aging, and awakening-related trait change, with a focus on validated multimodal measurement, longitudinal tracking, and sharable, differentially private datasets.

Brandon Birchak

Director of Human Performance &  Experience  Design

Brandon Birchak is an interdisciplinary creator and  researcher

is at the forefront of longevity  and advanced  human  performance research. Working with the world’s most elite performers and athletes, Brandon’s unique protocols feature embodied cognition, deepened states of awareness, and blueprints for health optimization. At Sensoria,  Brandon designs immersive, research‑driven

environments that combine  technological precision with  human artistry  to  explore transformative states  of mind.

Mark Shays

Executive Director, Sensoria Research

Mark Shays is a seasoned executive leader with 30 years in the  entertainment and nonprofit industries. At  Sensoria Research,

he oversees organizational  management, donor  development,

and strategic  partnerships that connect consciousness

science to the wider  research and philanthropic ecosystem.

Mark has launched multiple successful nonprofits and global events, combining immersive experience design with mission‑driven growth to  inspire human connection and collective impact.

Jeremy Coltharp

Systems Architect & Operations Lead

Jeremy Coltharp manages Sensoria’s technical and operational  infrastructure. He oversees CRM systems, digital security, and  cross‑platform workflow integration while coordinating production for  immersive field events. Jeremy’s blend of systems engineering and live  event expertise ensures operational excellence across research and  experience‑based programs.

Meghan Campbell

AI & Data Systems Researcher

Meghan Campbell is an AI practitioner and creative technologist bridging  biochemistry, computational design, and storytelling.  Her work focuses on fine‑tuning large‑language models and developing  data systems that translate complex neurophenomenological insights  into accessible visuals and interactive tools for researchers and  participants alike.
